If ever you visit Italy, while absorbing all the beautiful history and culture, be sure to take note of its lovely fashion. I've really enjoyed looking at store window after store window. Street fashion has also been impressive. It being summer, most of the fashion has been of the light, understated, elegantly casual type and I'm here for it!
During our Summer course in Rome we learnt about the importance of showing up as our authentic selves in order to foster true dialogue. Clothing can be a wonderful expression of identity, and personality. It can also simply reflect a mood. There are days I dress-up or keep it casual. The fashion I've been seeing strikes the right balance between classy, casual and comfortable. Comfort is key in Rome's sweltering heat.Below are just a few of the specimens that caught my attention in Rome and on a day trip to Siena.

Little black dresses with elegant shoes appropriate for Rome's cobble-stoned streets. |

Loved this blue and white theme at another store in Rome |
A classy floral print, elbow-length sleeves, and a high collar make this dress stand out. The bold red in the menswear combo is a nice complement. (From a boutique in Siena).

Back to Rome for chic pants and skirts paired with classic and unique white blouses. |
How does fashion speak to you? Is it an expression of identity or is it simply utilitarian? Is it an outlet for creativity? What do you appreciate about the fashion of different cultures and ethnicities?
